The Iron Butterfly - Book 1
Rating: 4 Stars
Length: 4 Days to Read

First things first. Let me tell you how much I actually liked this book. It started off really good BUT then got REALLY boring! I don’t know exactly what turned me off about this book in the first place, but I was so close to putting the book down and never returning. I saw how many good reviews it had so I pushed myself. THANK GOODNESS I pushed myself! Once you get past that bump, you will not regret it.
It begins with Thalia trapped in a cell and is being tortured by these people who she doesn't know. She is trapped with other people as well some who have died, and some who have survived. Thalia escapes and is found by two strangers. Darren and Joss. She is taken to the Denai capital. She is taken to the council and they help her get on her feet again. She told them what happened to her and they knew that people were going missing but not too sure where they were going. With Thalia’s help, they want to find these missing people and put a stop to the tortures and killings. Thalia is a normal human girl and so she gets to work in the kitchens of the school they kept her in. It wasn't until she shows signs of possessing magic that they move her from servant to student. Throughout the entire book, Thalia’s life is in danger. That’s all I will say.
The author didn't really do a good job in describing what a Denai is in the first place so I was kind of confused in the beginning until I realized that they are just people with magical powers. Everyone has their own type of power. That’s basically it. The ending is a massive cliffy! I couldn't believe the author got away with that. Thank goodness I have the second book ready. Here I go!
The Steele Wolf - Book 2
Rating: 4 Stars
Length: 2 Days to Read

This book has so much going on in it that I don’t even know where to begin! When I was done reading, I couldn't even remember how the book started so I had to go back in order to write this review. And let me tell you – a lot happened!
After Thalia leaves her school and all the Denai behind her, she travels with her father and a few of his clan members back to their home deep in the forest. She wants to live a normal life but to avoid being banished from showing signs of being a Denai, her father had arranged a marriage for her, securing her spot as clan leader. Thalia was having none of that and requested a battle and the winner would win her heart. Too bad she wanted to win her own heart. She ends up almost being kidnapped and Kael and Joss came to the rescue. Joss needed Thalia and Kael’s help to find his missing sister.
TONS MORE HAPPENED. I can’t even begin to describe. It was a very distracting story. So many things happened that I forgot some major parts. The author needs to relax a bit on how many times Thalia gets beaten in a book. Like seriously, how can a little girl like her take? Be nice to your characters! Other than that, it was fantastic. I am not sure who I want Thalia with. Joss or Kael. Decisions decisions! We will see who ends up with whom in the next book! Until then! Ta!
The Silver Siren - Book 3
Rating: 3 Stars
Length: 9 Days to Read

This book started off with lots of potential. I had been waiting for this book for so long. I got into it right away. I sort of forgot some of the things that happened in the previous books, but I was quickly reminded.....
Thalia, Kael and Joss were travelling back to Haven after not being able to find Joss's sister. Joss ends up splitting up with Thalia and Kael while they venture to the SwordBrothers clan. No outsiders are allowed in and Thalia's life was at risk for even going there. Thalia ends up back at Sinnedor after being ambushed by the Raven. She finds out that her power comes from Siren blood running in her veins. Sinnedor is under attack by the Raven and Thalia and her clan join forces with them to defeat the Raven and their crew.
I liked the book. It wasn't the best book I ever read, but it was still good. I do recommend.
